This week's MORSEL comes about as a result of the number of recent stories recounting incidents where mics and harps have been splattered across the stage due to collisions between band members and whatever the harpster's gear had been balanced on.

Hilarious for some, disastrous for others. Placing your tools in a tray or case will certainly help stabilize them, but further anchoring their support structure will double their security. Example: Got a tray that mounts on a mic stand or music stand? Try using the weight of your amp to lend stability by resting your amp on the base of your tray's stand. Use blocks of wood to level the amp and lock your stand in place. Results: A safer, more secure nest for your tools AND less stage space is taken up by the stand (now hidden from clumsy feet).
