Mystery Train live!

My trio (for those of you who've heard us) is no longer active and then I was asked to do a gig at a friend's wedding reception. I contacted my old band from @ 3 years ago and got it on! We didn't have a bass player but the groom had played bass in a band himself albeit some years ago and agreed to guest with us. We did the first track without him, explaining to the audience that our bass player was running late then the banter that you hear at the start has me calling on the groom, James, to lend an impromptu  hand! continue reading...

i recently recorded a new track titled "Arrows of Love" and placed the harp as a climax at the end of the song. i played and recorded all vocals and intruments in my living-room at home. for the harpsound i used the kuassa virtual amp (amplification vermillion) which really does a great job for recording directly to the daw. this allowas me to change the sound after the recording. again this is not a bluestrack but I hope you still like it. if you just want to listen to the harp jump to 3.20 :-) continue reading...

Donald's Trumpet

well... inspired by the most funniest presidential candidate who embarrassed himself during a foto session with uncle sam. the track emerged from a jam session with harald taglinger who produced the basic track on which I placed my vocals, harp and the kazoo. harald's version "made for each other" uses the same basic idea and can be found with on  soundcloud.

Was going through some old recordings and found this one. Thought it sounds ok so decided to post it. I recorded this 2yrs ago with a carvin vintage 16 amp with a jensen reissue p10q in a extention cab. Using the amps reverb. timing is alittle off in some spots.

bogen ph10 w/p15p

One more for the gear heads. Same p15p , playing through a 50s bogen ph10 head that been redone into a gibson ga6/5e5 deluxe circuit. same cm mic, A harp, no pedals. I like this big ol 15" speaker , just thought it would be fun to share some samples of a 15" speaker played through different amps. all 3 recordings were in same room . recording mic is same position in all 3, 10' away from cab.
