I exclusively use PowerBender, and really love it. The best way I can describe it is a Richter in the bottom third, a PowerChromatic in the Middle, and a sort of Pentatonic Scale at the upper end. A couple of my favorite qualities is that there is no change of breath pattern and that all holes have draw bends. I kind of see it as being Richter like, but more intuitive to wrap my head around. What I hate about it is that only Seydel makes harmonicas in PowerBenders, (Brendan Powers own PowerBender Harps are extremely cheap and have a very short life), and I have to make mine custom from Joe Spiers because I like Suzuki Manji Harps ($$).

I'm just wondering if there are others who are learning from this site with alternative tunings and what you love about that tuning. I'm also curious, if you do use the Richter Tuning, what do you love about it other than the fact that it's the default tuning that comes with the diatonic harps. I see a lot of people writing negative things about Richter, but very few about it's postitive attributes. I'm just fascinated by tunings in general - the corridor inbetween the people and their music!
