Here's a quick tip for you. If you use a pedal (such as reverb or delay) that can run on a battery (which almost all of them can)... don't rely on it! ALWAYS use the adapter (that you have to purchase separately sometimes) for the pedal.

What commonly happens is that when the batteries power starts to drain your volume will slowly drop as it does.

Imagine that you're on stage and you set everything up and start the gig... as the night goes on you have difficulty hearing yourself... which is common, since bands do get louder throughout the night... and you turn your amp up... later you turn the amp up... later you turn the amp up... and now you're starting to feed back and you ignore it so you can go on with the show... the feedback is really start to get to you (and the sound guy... and the winces on the audience every time it does) and then you start thinking "is my amp starting to crap out on me?"

... and, in the end, you figure out your battery was dying on you! Been there, done it!... so, a little suggestion for you today ;-)
