They almost wouldn't let me back on the planet after the HARMONICA MASTERCLASS in San Jose, CA. Thus my extended unintentional absence. I'm guessing either Dick Cheney or Kim Kardashian had something to do with this rude rip in protocol. Regarding things microphonic: Without a doubt, the most common issue among harp jockeys I talked with at the HMC was the matter of microphone SIZE/SCALE. For a microphone to function as you desire, it must be of a manageable size. Refer to virtually ANYTHING David has to say about "CUPPING" and you'll get a good point of incentive for finding a mic that fits your paws. The finest cowboy boots will do you no damn good if they're a size 9B and you need a 12EEE. If the tools are unworkable, they aren't tools, they're merely decor...
