Questions come into THE MIC DUNGEON on a regular basis regarding the relative sizes of microphones commonly associated with amplified harp. I've collected the measurements for a number of typical "bullet" mics and present their diameters-at-grill-in-millimeters here for your reference.

SHURE MICS: 7A ('39 Brushed chrome 'bullet') 60MM; Early BROWN "bullet" 60MM; Later BROWN "bullet" 62MM;
Early 707 (Typically darker gray/silver) 60MM; Later 707A (Typically bright silver) 62MM; 520 "GREEN BULLET" 62MM...
ASTATIC MICS: JT-30 - HOHNER BLUES BLASTER - CAD 30 /59MM; MODEL '30' "BISCUIT" 63MM; T-3 Body at rim of grill 56MM; Rim of grill 58MM.
It's amazing how very little difference there is in size between these mics yet how very different they seem when in your hands. And remember that diameters don't tell the whole story. For instance, the ASTATIC MODEL '30' "BISCUIT" has the greatest diameter of all mics listed yet many players perceive of it as a "small" mic due to its abreviated shell.
