If you're having trouble controlling the 3 draw bend we spoke of yesterday, it can also be helpful to work on the 4 draw bend of a harmonica lower than that of the key you're working on. For example, if you're trying the 3' on the C Harmonica (Bb) and you're having trouble controlling it, try the 4 draw bend on the A Harmonica (Bb). The pitch you're going for is the same (Bb), but the distance between the draw and blow reed on each harmonica is slightly different... the 4 draw on the A Harmonica being a little bit easier to achieve. This process can help you to "feel" what the tongue is doing right in one and use that feeling to help with the other, more challenging bend.
