"HEY FRITZ! Does a harpmic's color or finish have an effect on its sound?"

On the face of it you'd think this is a nutty case of cross-sensory perception. Not necessarily...
It's been my experience that some players have a tough time gripping some finishes -and that could certainly affect the resulting yielded sound they get. On the psychological front: You've likely seen stats regarding the disproportionate numbers of red cars that gets tagged for traffic infractions. Well, I've encountered players who felt they played better with a certain color mic -or hotter when their mic was painted with flames.
So... The answer's a conditional 'YES' -dependent upon the human X factor.
