Just wanted to share a way that helped me remember the placement of the draw notes on the C diatonic that may be helpful to students. With the world being so hot on using acronyms I figured that maybe I could use reverse acronyms to memorize the draw notes . The draw notes on the C diatonic are : D G B D F A B D F A. My contrived “ reverse acronym “ , using the first letter of each word to represent the note, is as follows :     Dennis - Gruenling - Builds - Damn - Fine - Astatics - Builds - Damn - Fine - Astatics.                 It may seem goofy but it really simplified the memorization process for me. It may work for other students as well And it’s kinda fun coming up with reverse acronyms that’ll stick.
