Improvisational Interaction between Dancers and Musicians: Video

This clip shows the boogie woogie (50s dance), a dance popular in Europe. Beats me why it hasn't been revived in the states yet. It really gets down, litterally. It is very grounded, i.e., with weight into the ground, just like slow blues dancing done to gut bucket blues. This dance could be done to a large part of our repertoire.

What I like about this clip is the interaction between the piano player and the dancers. Notice how the pianist is always watching them. When he sees them setting up for a slide, he does the same on the piano. As they get more into it and are building up even more momentum, so does he, to support them.
