In this series, I review new (currently available on the market), small amplifiers (single-speaker amps) for you. This is an ongoing series, to be updated over time. Download the review sheet for each amp and the recorded mp3 files to compare the amps to make your choice of favorite amp. At the top of the file listing is a PDF of my top picks for amps to date (this will change over time, so make sure to check back every now and again).
I'll be performing tube, speaker, and cabinet changes to some of these amps. To learn more about these components, watch Dale Laslie's excellent interview to learn about these components. You'll also find my two lessons Amps - What You Need to Know and Amp Tone Settings very helpful.
Lastly, I play and collect vintage tube PA heads. You pair these heads with a cabinet of your choosing. I sell my amps from time to time, so keep an eye on my Reverb Shop.
