Hello Harp Techs

After Ken's last posting, I became reminiscence about the Hohner Blues Harp. Originally, a sibling to the Marine Band 1896 this model has grown up in the Hohner MS (Modular System) family of harmonicas. Including Big River, Pro Harp, Cross Harp and Meisterklasse. Wait! let's not forget the special Hohner harmonicas offered as Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Steven Tyler and even Tiffanys.

The Blues Harp has literally grown into a larger harmonica. Check out these photos of two generations of Hohner Blues Harp harmonicas.

The top harmonica is apart of the new generation of Hohner MS Blues Harp. Similiar to the Hohner 1896 Marine Band, notice on the bottom harmonica, the nails holding the corners of the cover plates in place.

Significant changes in the back opening of the the MS Blues Harp.

This photo says it all.

Your Harpsmith, Kinya
