G'day, i am working on putting together an instrumental based on the "Tramp" groove (as used in "the strut" lesson), to play with my band. I'm hoping you may be able to help my inspiration by directing my attention to some recordings which use this kind of beat.
thank you,
Dave

awesome

yeah soul monster...thats huge...heard mark hummell doing back-scratcher on one of his submissions here too.
of course theres the shotgun blues too.
i'm making playlists of these...think i'll document it with links to youtube where possible and and post a link here maybe. it'll take a while to work through the Jimi Lee list but will be a good resource...

are you working through the grooves 1 by 1? how long do you spend on each?

Hey Dave Hall

Yes, I'm going thru them one at time
Then looking for examples to make a compilation disk for future reference

I'll post them here as I'm building them
I figure it might be helpful for other students as well

Yeah, Post yours here too!
I know I'd benefit :-)
