Hi Mark!!!

I'd like to try learn to sing alongside the study of Harmonica,
since all the great harmonica players , like you, sing :)

I like your style of singing :)

Can you give me some advice on this ?

Thanks,

Best Regards

Marko

I took lessons early on to help with sustaining my voice-try to find a good voice intructor to learn to sing from the gut instead of your throat. Also warmups are very important, exercises that strecth your range-so you don't blow your voice. Singing in pitch is THE most important thing of all,so singing along with something like a record-kareoke-any & all will help. Tape yourself singing-all this helps! Singing is the most difficult of ALL.

Remember that one Marko. You don't have to have the voice of Pavarotti to be a good singer. You just have to hit the pitch. In fact, having an unusual voice is sometimes most appealing of all. A lot of people think they suck as singers because their voices are not what we consider "classical" and wide-ranging. That's not what matters. Pick a range and hit the pitch. As Mark mentions - that's THE most important thing of all.

Thanks!!!

Sure -hope that helps. Also an effective singer gets as much with meaning what he's singing than a more polished singer. Last night I heard a great example of two performers singing & the one that didn't have as dramatic or full a voice sang much deeper emotionally then the guy with the big voice!
