Rollin Fork Revisited and revisited and revisited
Hey Mark
This isn't really a question more of a statement, I have many cd's of many artist that I like to buy from the artist when I see them and you've been no exception however I don't always get around to listening to each cd thoroughly before something else comes along. Having said that I recently relistened to the Johnny Dyer with Mark Hummel Rolling Fork revisited cd I got from you at BBC,fl and wanted to tell you what a great cd this is everyone should own it Johnny Dyer's singing is someplace out of this world and your harp playing is now my new gold standard for tastful bluesy playing.
Thanks!

Yes I agree. Rolling Fork is
Yes I agree. Rolling Fork is a great album. I love the 3rd position harp playing on "Young Fashioned Ways".
Mark I have to say your tone just gets better and better all the time. On those recent videos from the East Coast you uploaded, your tone is absolutely killer!
It was also very interesting to see how you used the volume control in between phrases and switched cupping techniques during numbers to get tonal variations into the mix.
Do you find that an external volume control (like the switchcraft one in the videos) is better than having one on the mic shell itself?
Rolling Fork
Thanks guys for all the kudos-we all loved making that record & everyone on it felt that way! I played thru two amps chained together-my 59 Bassman & my 60 Princeton. I was kinda bummed the cd didn't do better on the Blues Charts or get any awards-it's a cd we're all most proud of! Francis Clay & Paul Oscher couldn't tell which was Dyer vs. Muddy & that's saying a mouthful, being they played with Muddy all those years!
The ?s about my volume control-it's the old SwitchCraft one-I seem to like it better then the built in ones for some reason-maybe cause I can't accidentally turn it down like what happens with the on-mic ones?
Mark
Thanks for the clarification
Thanks for the clarification on the volume control Mark.
